The Journey to Dehang

Travelled overnight from Chengdu to Huaihua.  A short wait and a 2 hour train to Jishou and luckily AGAIN found a couple of young ones with a bit of English who not only pointed us to the Dehang bus but walked us over there and translated for us!

Dehang is a beautiful mountain village and after dropping off our bags we headed up the riverside path to the famous waterfall and Karst peaks... a good 3 hours and 7 km return journey and we returned to village around dusk in time to search out a suitable venue for dinner!

The twenty plus hour journey by bus, train, train and bus was well worth the effort!
