Goodby China and thank you! Day 20, May 8

A bit of a cruisey start today, didn't have to be at the bus station until about 8.30 am.  

Got ushered into the International Lounge and informed by  hostess

pointing at her "common phrases book" ..... "bus not ready, when the car comes I will shout at you".

Duly "shouted at"and boarded the bus, provided water and a bag containing a Chinese cut lunch: apple, Chinese bean paste sandwich and cold wheat milk tea, Yum!  

The trip to the border was uneventful, lovely bus, comfy seats and good roads.

Kim concerned that there could be interrogation at the border due to no passport for "Johnson" but Chinese customs just waved us through!

Farewell China, we have truly enjoyed our 19 days, amazing sights, wonderful people and delicious food!
