With 8 different components to our travel day today we were prepared for a "disaster".....
Taxi from Fenghuang to the bus station
Bus from Fenghuang to Huaihua bus terminal
Taxi from Huaihua terminal to Huaihua stn
Train from Huaihua to Sanjiang station
Minibus from Sanjiang stn to Sanjiang City
Bus from Sanjiang City to Longsheng
Bus from Longsheng to Ping'an
Walk from Ping'an buspark up the mountainside 800metres to almost the highest hostel in Ping'an.....
All this achieved in 11 hours 45 minutes... Must be a record, and the intrepid travellers were stoked, if somewhat exhausted! The final leg up the goat track just about did us in! But on looking out the window of our rooms at the incredible Dragon Bone Rice Terraces (albeit a bit misty) it was worth every minute and aching step!
Can't wait to go exploring and hoping for a clearer day tomorrow....
