Our China Hotspots

Talk about doing the circumference of China!  These are the main stopoffs of Shanghai, Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Fenghuang, Guilin and Nanning.  Suddenly we realise just how far we are travelling.... and that's only the first 3 weeks of our adventure!

The Plan

On April 19 2013 we travel from Wellington & Tauranga to Auckland then off to Shanghai - Beijing - Xian - Chengdu - Leshan - Chengdu - Huaihua - Jishou - Dehang - Fenghuang - Huaihua - Sanjiang - Longshen - Ping 'An - Heping - Guilin - Yangshuo - Nanning then over the border to Hanoi - Ha Long Bay - Da Nang - Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta over the border to Phonm Penh (depending on time) - Siem Reap over the border to Bangkok - Phuket for a big relax before heading back home to New Zealand

Planning the adventure

With 34 days to go the planning is in full swing.  Kim is the sightseeing planner, Lesley the accommodation planner, Brent is in charge of getting us from train stations to our accommodation and Russell is the official photographer.
